STEM Flights is a national nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides Middle & High School aged kids with customized aviation education and flight experiences to facilitate learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Our mission is to inspire America’s youth to pursue STEM & aviation careers.

STEM Flights uses the cockpit of an aircraft to introduce STEM education and career paths to young adults. Volunteer Pilot Mentors are paired with a student (& guardian) through our website application. Once approved, Students select a STEM Mission in advance and are required to complete mission related studies prior to the flight experience. Pilot Mentors fly STEM Missions for individual students. Once a student has completed a STEM Flight, they will receive " STEM Flight Following" mentoring and career pathway guidance.

We are currently seeking Pilot Mentors & Student applications and educational & non-profit partners. Together we can get more students flying in Michigan! Our program is privately funded and there is no cost to the student. Pilot Mentors donate aircraft and flight time to the student mission. Learn more at www.stemflights.org or contact carley@stemflights.org for more information.
