​​​​​Please join us for the 5th Annual Aerospace Day on Friday, July 25 at Willow Run Airport. You are about to embark on an aerospace journey that will introduce you to fascinating careers, educational opportunities, and the chance to meet local aviation experts. This free event is offered to local high school students. Students can expect to fly simulators, talk with pilots, meet aerospace industry professionals, learn about aviation education, and discover community partners that offer local aviation programs. Different aircraft will be on display for students to see up close. 

 

A limited number of flight experiences will be offered to students using a lottery system.  These flights are donated by STEM Flights and Crosswinds Aviation. Please indicate in your RSVP if you would like to fly. Flights are based on weather and pilot availability, we expect to fly 20% of attendees. If you are selected for a flight, you will be notified the week prior to the event. 

 

Lunch, snacks, and water will be provided for all students. This is a no-cost event sponsored by STEM Flights, Eastern Michigan University, and Crosswinds Aviation.

Time:  8:30 AM - 4 PM  *Timing could change slightly based on event schedule, attendees will be notified of any changes. 

Location: Willow Run Airport (hangar location and address will be shared with registered attendees only)

Parents: You will be emailed the exact address of the hangar.  You many park and come in with your student if you wish, but aviation activities are for registered attendees only.

Attendees: Local high school students - homeschoolers welcomed.
