Become a STEM Flights Pilot Mentor

Donate your time to educate for STEM Flights. Help foster a passion for aviation and change the future of our country.

The first question a potential volunteer Pilot Mentor wants to know is “What am I signing up for?” After application & approval, we ask you to do 4 STEM Flights a year. Start to finish, a STEM Flight takes about 2 ½ hours per student- including an introductory phone call, pre-flight brief, the flight experience and a de-brief.  Roughly 10 hours a year if you can do 4 flights.

Our STEM Flight Pilot Mentors (PMs) are the key to successfully motivating students to pursue STEM and Aviation careers.  The enthusiasm and professionalism of our Pilots helps to shape the students’ interests in taking next steps towards a STEM career.
